### CALENDAR OF EVENTS ###

Monday, 7th (tomorrow)

Tuesday, 8th (municipal election day)

- 8:30 AM until 11:00 AM - Vegan Outreach leafleting at the University of Utah.  Contact Eric Waters (ewaters at uarc.com, 560-8238) if you're interested in helping out.


Wednesday, 9th

- 11:00 AM - Protest against KFC!  Held at the 400 South 570 East store location, please join theveganlounge.com, PETA and UARC for this demonstration.  Take a long lunch to come out and show your opposition to animal cruelty.  Contact info at theveganlounge.com for details.


Saturday, 12th

- 12:30 PM - Fur protest at the Gateway, at the intersection of 100 S. and 500 W.

### CHING SANCTUARY VEGAN THANKSGIVING ### 

  What: Ching Farm Animal Sanctuary's annual Vegan Thanksgiving
 Where: The Jubilee Center (309 E. 100 S.)
  When: Saturday, 12th of November, 2005
        Two seatings:  4 - 6pm or 7:30pm - 9:30pm
  Cost: Adults $15, Children $7

### STEERING MEETINGS ###

Come one come all!

UARC has decided to resume the Steering Meeting approach to organizing our events and deciding our course of action throuhout the year.  This will entail public meetings at which members are encouraged to attend and use one vote per member.  Non-members are invited to attend as well, but cannot vote.

Our first meeting on this new format will be tomorrow at the Sugarhouse Coffee Company, at the corner of 2100 South and 1100 East, in the back room.  Meeting will start at 7:00 pm sharp.  Rules of order will follow Robert's Rules to prevent the meeting from getting out of hand.
