### DEMONSTRATION AGAINST FUR ###

Where: The intersection of 100 S. and 500 W. (inside the Gateway mall)
When: Every Saturday from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm

NOTE: Yesterday's protest was called off due to rainy weather. If rain or snow is falling at or up to 12:30, we'll not be there, as neither will shoppers most likely.

As the cold weather approaches, retailers are unfortunately going to be rampimg up the sale of fur. Items such as fur trim and full length fur coats are the products of a cruel and barbaric industry, and need to be opposed by humane people at every turn. In an effort to educate the stop this atrocity, UARC is holding a weekly demonstration at the downtown Gateway mall.

While we will be demonstrating in general to all the holiday & winter shoppers, we will begin by targetting the J. Crew line which recently began selling fur in it's line of clothing (for more details about this, visit http://www.jcruel.com). Please dress according to the weather. Signs and leaflets will be provided.

### HALLOWEEN POTLUCK ###

The Utah Zombie Rights Coalition will be taking a break from our fight for equality for zombies and undead creatures to have a little scream of a social. Our monthly potluck dinner will be held on October 30th at the residence of not-dead-yet Leici "Inara" Hendrix and Ben "Jayne" Warden at 1012 S. 800 E.. Meet a bit before the witching hour at 7:00 PM for a night of screams. Come dressed in your finest rags, bags, and whatever else you'll be wearing on All Hallows Eve.

Bring the most revolting, creepy and crawly vegan mash you can concoct. Please RSVP to Eric "Simon" Waters at ewaters at uarc.com or 560-8238 with what dish you'll be bringing. We have one desert and one entree RSVP'ed so far.
