###(4) VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ###

There are many opportunities any given week for volunteers to help with UARC's goals. Here's a few of things we need your help on:

  * New Dining Guide *

  UARC will be putting together a third edition of the Wasatch Front Vegetarian Dining Guide (see http://www.vegetarianvoice.com/ for the previous two editions). If you'd like to help with this, help gather restaurant information, get ads, or design the guide, please contact Eric (ewaters at uarc.com, 560-8238).

  * Sugar House Farmers Market *

    Where:  Sugar House at 2100 S. 1300 E.
     When: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Fridays until Sept. 30th
     What:  Tabling for UARC

  Every Friday until Sept. 30th Sugar House will be having a farmers market to promote the local stores and farmers in the area. Raphael of the Free Speech Zone (2144 S. Highland dr. #130) is graciously allowing us to table with him. We are looking for volunteers to help with this.

  * Adopt a VSK Stand *

  PETA has graciously given UARC thousands of Vegan Starter Kits and stands upon which to put them. We would like to place these stands across the valley and have them frequently refilled. Your responsiblities would include finding a highly trafficed place to put the stand, get permission from the owner of the building to place it, and refill the stand frequently.

To volunteer for any of these things, simply reply to this email. Thanks to Julie, Sean and David for volunteering!
