### CALENDAR OF EVENTS ###
  ( UARC lists other groups' events in our calendar as a service to the community, for solidarity with others fighting for animal liberation.  PETA, VFS, ARM and Ching Farm are not affiliated with UARC. )

Monday, 8th

- 7:00 PM - UARC Steering meeting at The Bridge (512 W. 200 S.).  All are welcome.
- 7:00 PM - Ching Sanctuary cooking class @ Downtown Wild Oats


Wednesday, 10th
---------------
- 1:15 PM - High school leafletting.  Meet at The Bridge to carpool to a to-be-decided High School where you will help pass out animal rights leaflets and/or CDs.  Contact Jason (jasonh at uarc.com) for more details.
- 7:00 PM - EarthSave potluck at downtown Wild Oats


Saturday, 13th

### POTLUCK IN THE PARK ###

Now that it's summer, we've decided to move our popular vegan potluck to the park!  Please join us on Sunday, the 20th of May for a potluck dinner at 5:00 PM at the North East corner pavillion of Liberty Park.  Please bring your own plate and utensils, and some food to share.  A BBQ grill will be provided for those who want to grill up some vegan meats or vegetables!

* Lid on protests mulled
  Panel is drafting rules for activities at Capitol

State officials are looking at putting new restrictions on protests held at the Capitol Complex, including limiting the number of people who can gather in some areas.
  The rules are being rewritten as a result of a lawsuit filed earlier this year by members of the Utah animal rights Coalition, claiming they were told to stop handing out political leaflets outside the Capitol during the 2006 Legislature. ...
