SOUTH JORDAN ? If anyone can confirm that owners look like their pets, it's Ric Byrd. He's been to thousands of dog shows over 44 years either as an owner or a judge.
"'d be surprised what you come across on the road," he said. "You'll see some fat, pudgy guy showing a bulldog, or a man with a gray, straight beard showing a schnauzer." ...

"It's becoming more mainstream and less stigmatized," Seattle resident Courtney Szper said in a telephone interview. ...

BILLINGS, Mont. - The grizzly bear population in and around Glacier National Park is one of the largest in the Lower 48, but for years wildlife officials have only been able to guess at the numbers that support that conclusion. And they can't say whether the population is growing, stable or even in free fall. ...

It's been a year since Bornean orangutan Eve gave birth to baby girl Acara on Mother's Day, but she's still taking to life as a mom.
Sharing her food, teaching Acara safety around the pen, carrying the 17-pound 1-year-old ? they may seem like simple tasks for a new mother, but for 15-year-old Eve, three official months of successful motherhood is cause for celebration for zookeepers at Hogle Zoo. ...
